Self-storage radio network premiering soon

A Internet radio channel devoted to the self-storage industry soon will be hitting the airwaves.

Radio Self Storage, based in Arlington, TX, is scheduled to launch June 17. The network will broadcast news, information and educational content for self-storage professionals around the world. Listeners can access the 24-hour-a-day network via desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet or smartphone. The smartphone app is available on Google Play for Android devices or on iTunes for Apple devices.

‘Unique and original’ content

Self-storage industry veteran Randy Smith said he created Radio Self Storage with owners, operators, developers, managers and other industry professionals in mind.

“Every weekday, listeners will hear unique and original content, and depending on the broadcast hour, specialized content based upon their specific role in the industry,” Smith said. “There is simply nothing like it existing anywhere in the industry today.”

Radio Self Storage is inviting industry experts be interviewed the on air—at no charge—to share their knowledge. For more information, visit radioselfstorage.com, send an email to info@radioselfstorage.com or call 888-580-4111.

Radio Self Storage already has signed up one sponsor: Boerne, TX-based On The Move Inc., which leases moving trucks to self-storage operators.

Sounds interesting. Would be interesting to read a follow-up and whether others had chosen to invest in the concept outside of On The Move Inc.
