Self-Storage Manager Of The Month: Misty SchulteMisty's daughter with terrifying event organizer Tim.

With Halloween right around the corner, National Self Storage’s Misty Schulte is preparing to convert her Tucson, AZ self-storage facility into a spooky-fun party complete with haunted houses. She hosts this Halloween event every year, always enjoying a great turnout. All proceeds from the modest admission price go to a local school.

Last year, the cash went to Our Mother of Sorrows’ science team for their eighth grade field trip. Proceeds from this year’s event, being held October 26-27, will help fund the senior trip for students at Vail Academy.

The event is a true community effort. “Next week, the 12th graders and their parents will come and set it all up,” an enthusiastic Misty said. “Of course, I will be here to make sure everything is in compliance with fire code.”

In addition to hosting a haunted house for adults and one just for kids, there will be a DJ, a jumping castle bounce house (supplied every year by one of Misty’s tenants), face painting, and tons of games for the little guys.

Misty’s haunted house idea is brilliant, as not only does it get the entire community together for a fun event, but it also promotes her facility as a local mainstay and supporter of education. Misty supplies all of the candy, and includes coupons from other local businesses in goody bags embossed with the National Self Storage logo.

From a marketing, public relations, and community service standpoint, Misty is over-performing as a self-storage facility manager. So we’re excited to feature her as October’s seasonally appropriate Manager of the Month.

If you’re in Tucson, the event will be held at National Self Storage, 7555 South Houghton Road. It’s $5 at the door ($3 for kids 12 and under). You can even call Misty at (520) 413-4383 for more details.
